A yellow heat health alert is in effect from 10AM on 09/07/2025 until 10AM on 15/07/2025 across the Southeast including Buckinghamshire.

Due to the anticipated hot weather and our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our collection crews, waste and recycling collections on Thursday 10^th and Friday 11^th Julywill commence earlier, from 6:00am.

This proactive measure is being implemented to reduce the risk of heat exhaustion for our teams during the hottest parts of the day.

To give residents as much notice as possible, our website will be updated today with this information, advising them to please leave their bins out the night beforeto ensure they receive a collection. We will not be able to return if a bin is missed because it is not out, even if this is before the resident’s usual collection time. We will also be updating our social media channels.

We will continue to monitor temperatures throughout the summer months and communicate any changes to the service to you and our residents as soon as any impact is reported.
